A new level of detail system for textures has been implemented in this expansion. It shouldn't be jarring, and should help your clients run a little smoother, but if you encounter issues you think might be bugs, please feel free to document and report them. |

Scoria wrote:[quote=Cydrina Mohair]...it seems saving settings on the launcher is broken.
Thanks for speaking up about this.
It's a known issue, and the Launcher team is working on modifying the version to allow saved settings. |

Ras Algethi wrote:Before you ask: I've cleared the cache already and removed the bulkdata folder to allow the client to refresh everything from scratch
Too quick!
Thank you for bringing this up.
We've heard similar stories in game and we're looking into the issue now. |

You should be able to adjust this using the Texture Quality and LOD Quality settings in the Graphic Content Settings panel of the ESC-menu's Display & Graphics tab.
Please use an appropriate setting for your hardware. |

Virgil Nightingale wrote:There seems to be an issue with some of the ship pictures when you show info. The picture itself is either not there (black screen) or looks corrupted. When you zoom in and pull up the 3d model, the texture seems to not quite load all the way. See link for a screenshot of what i mean. Also, the pics for the new command ships shows the old hulls, but the 3d model shows the correct hull. Asked around and doesn't seem to be happening to everyone. Anyone else having this issue?
Clearing your cache and updating the drivers for your specific GPU before a relog may correct this issue.
We are looking into solutions for anyone who reports this bug as persistent following those steps.
Thanks. |

Ione Kavanagh wrote:...problem with the ingame frame rate. It keeps oscillating between 30 and 45 FPS instead of sticking at 60. I have two 1920*1080 screens, a 570GTX, and I use dx11.
I don't have a guaranteed solution immediately, but try selecting DX9 from the launcher options before starting the client and see if your frame rate goes back up to normal. DX11 is purposefully feature-identical to DX9 right now, so if that helps your framerate, you can keep it there until we iron out all of the kinks.
I'll escalate this to the appropriate people.

This is a fine place to post it. |
